Privacy policy

Last updated: 12 October 2026

PlayTweet is published by Infolily LLC. This policy explains how the Chrome extension, playtweet.com and support email handle information.

What the extension reads

When you use PlayTweet on X, it reads the selected post's text, the author's public display name, handle and displayed photo, and the visible layout needed to create the animation. It uses the selected post and composer context to place your media in the reply or quote draft you choose.

Where reactions are created

PlayTweet creates video and GIF reactions locally in your browser. It does not send selected posts, drafts or generated media to a PlayTweet server or an AI provider. Author photos may be fetched from X's image service.

Temporary generation data stays in browser memory. The extension does not use persistent storage, an account database, advertising or analytics.

What happens when you insert or download

When you choose Insert or Quote, PlayTweet hands the generated media to X's composer. X may upload the attachment while preparing the draft, before you publish it. You review the draft and choose whether to post. X’s privacy policy applies to information handled by X.

Downloaded files stay wherever you save them. Downloads and X drafts remain under your control. Delete saved files on your device and remove drafts through X.
